Privacy Policy

follo is a Chrome extension that helps sales professionals capture and manage leads, organize follow-ups, save notes and source links, and track relationship activity.

Information follo Stores

follo may store information that you choose to save, including:

• Lead and contact names
• Company names
• Email addresses
• Follow-up dates
• Lead status and relationship stage
• Lead temperature or priority
• Notes and activity history
• Source-page titles and links
• Local Gmail activity identifiers used to avoid repeat prompts
• Other information you enter into a saved lead record

This information is stored locally in Chrome extension storage on your device. follo does not transmit your saved lead information to a follo-owned server.

How follo Uses Information

follo uses saved information only to provide its lead follow-up features, including:

• Remembering who you need to follow up with
• Organizing leads by status, stage, temperature, and priority
• Prioritizing leads in Today’s Focus
• Displaying saved lead information in the follo side panel
• Tracking relationship activity and pipeline momentum
• Recognizing recent Gmail activity involving a saved lead
• Saving and reopening source links
• Exporting or backing up lead information when you choose to do so

Website Access

follo provides built-in lead detection on supported websites, including Gmail, LinkedIn, Salesforce, and HubSpot.

On supported websites, follo may read lead information that is visible on the current page so it can identify the person or company you are viewing, detect whether the lead has already been saved, and provide relevant save or open-lead actions.

Gmail Activity Detection

When Gmail is open, follo may process information visible in the current conversation—such as the sender, email address, subject, message time, thread identifier, and Gmail’s send confirmation—to recognize an email sent to or received from a saved lead.

This processing happens locally in your browser. follo does not send the contents of your emails to a follo-owned server. When Gmail does not provide a stable message identifier, follo may briefly process a limited portion of visible message text to create a one-way local identifier used only to prevent the same activity prompt from appearing repeatedly. The message text itself is not stored.

follo does not automatically change a saved lead after an email. It shows a prompt and waits for you to choose whether to update the follow-up date, open the lead, or dismiss the suggestion.

When you use the + Lead feature on another website, follo may access the current page title and URL so the page can be saved as a source for the lead. Information entered through the + Lead form is saved only when you choose to create the lead.

follo uses website access only to provide its disclosed lead-management features. follo does not monitor, collect, or maintain a history of your general browsing activity.

Chrome Permissions

follo may request the following Chrome permissions:

Storage: Used to save lead information, follow-up details, settings, and related extension data in Chrome extension storage.

Tabs: Used to identify the current page, detect supported websites, save the correct source link, and reopen a saved lead’s source page.

Side Panel: Used to display follo’s lead-management interface inside Chrome.

Alarms: Used to refresh the extension badge periodically so the due-lead count stays current. This does not create an external alarm or transmit data.

Website access: Used to detect visible lead information on supported websites and to capture the current page title and URL when you use the + Lead feature.

Data Storage

follo stores saved lead data in Chrome extension storage associated with your browser. follo does not operate a server-side database for your saved lead information.

Because the data is stored through the browser extension, removing the extension or clearing its storage may permanently remove saved follo information unless you have created an export or backup.

Information follo Does Not Collect

follo does not collect:

• Passwords
• Authentication credentials
• Payment-card information
• Bank or financial-account information
• Government identification numbers
• Health or medical information
• Your general browsing history

follo does not use advertising trackers or third-party advertising analytics tools.

Data Sharing

follo does not sell, rent, or share your saved lead information with advertisers, data brokers, or third-party marketing platforms.

follo does not use saved lead information for advertising, unrelated user profiling, credit decisions, insurance decisions, or other purposes unrelated to its disclosed lead follow-up features.

User Control and Deletion

You control the lead information saved in follo. You may edit or delete individual leads from inside the extension.

You may remove all locally stored follo information by uninstalling the extension or clearing the extension’s stored data through Chrome.

Data Exports and Backups

follo may allow you to export or back up saved lead information. These files are created at your request and are intended for your own use.

Once an exported file is stored outside the extension, you are responsible for protecting, managing, and deleting that file.

Data Security

follo is designed to minimize data collection and keep saved lead information within Chrome extension storage. However, no browser, device, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device, browser profile, exported files, and any accounts used on supported third-party websites.

Third-Party Websites

follo works alongside third-party services such as Gmail, LinkedIn, Salesforce, HubSpot, and other websites from which you may choose to save a lead or source link.

Those services operate independently and have their own terms and privacy policies. follo is not responsible for the privacy or security practices of third-party websites.

Children’s Privacy

follo is intended for professional and business use and is not directed to children under 13.

Limited Use

follo uses information accessed through the extension only to provide, maintain, secure, and improve its disclosed lead follow-up and relationship-management features.

follo does not use or transfer information accessed through Chrome for advertising, unrelated user profiling, sale to data brokers, lending decisions, insurance decisions, or purposes unrelated to the extension’s disclosed functionality.

follo is designed to use information received through Chrome in accordance with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Website Forms

If you voluntarily submit an Early Access or Support form on usefollo.com, follo receives the name, email address, company, request category, and message information you choose to provide. This website form information is separate from the lead information stored by the follo Chrome extension.

FormSubmit processes website-form submissions for the limited purpose of delivering them to support@usefollo.com and may retain submissions for up to 30 days. follo uses these submissions only to respond to requests, provide support, and communicate about product access.

Website Video

usefollo.com embeds its product walkthrough using YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode. Loading or playing the video connects to YouTube, which may process technical and playback information under Google’s privacy policy. The embedded video does not receive or transmit any lead information saved in follo.

Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes to follo’s features, permissions, or data practices. Updates will be reflected by changing the effective date at the top of this page.
